‘Eczema’ to attend Fajr Int’l Film Festival

‘Eczema’ directed by Mehran Mahdavian is to take part at the 35th Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF).

‘Eczema’ directed by Mehran Mahdavian has been submitted to take part at the 35th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF).

The flick, previously named ‘The Eyes’, recently changed title to ‘Eczema’ and and his director submitted the entry form for the prestigious Iranian event.

The movie which is an experimental social drama will also be screened at ‘Art and Experience’ cinematic group in Iran.

In ‘Eczema’, Roya is a young woman, struggling to live a peaceful life. She does not want her husband to be informed about her past, but keeping the past in the past is not as easy as it seems.

The film is set at night, in a limited setting, where Roya drives a car and steers the story and the wheel together.

Established in 1982, Fajr Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 35th International Fajr Film Festival and its local counterpart, Fajr Film Festival, are Iran’s most important cinematic events. The former is scheduled to take place in the country’s capital of Tehran from April 21 through 28, 2017.
